POSITION OPENING
HUMBOLT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
(3) SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Grant School District No 3 is seeking applicants for (3) full- time Special Education Teacher for the Humbolt Elementary School/serving grades K-6, self-contained classroom.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Oregon Teaching Certificate with Special Education Endorsement
- Teaching experience with students on the Autism Spectrum and conduct disorders
- Ability to conduct IEP meetings and participate in collaborative meetings with staff, families, and outside
agencies to provide individual student supports
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and trauma-informed
Practices (CPI Certified)
- Ability to train and manage support staff to deliver services to students
- Experience building and revising the Special Education Master Schedule
- Experience with ABA and STARR strategies preferred
- Understanding of structured literacy and mathematical scope and sequence
- Ability to utilize technology/software packages in instruction & IEP development
- Holds First Aid/CPR card and Mini Bus and CPI certifications or willing to obtain by hire date
