What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telemetry MonitorTech - Full-Time Days position at Humboldt Park Health?
- Interprets Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
- Reports all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
- Maintains Telemetry Supplies.
- Records patient condition utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Identify normal and abnormal EKG rhythm pattern.
- Assess and document EKG rhythm abnormalities. Notify appropriate healthcare professional in a timely manner.
- Place patients on monitoring system according to facility’s policy and procedures.
- Adapts behavior as needed to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
- A successful test score (greater than 90%) on interpretation of cardiac rhythms and rhythm components is a requirement for initial employment.
- Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification
