We are seeking an experienced and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in placing, finishing, and curing concrete surfaces according to specifications, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Place, spread, and finish concrete using hand and power tools
- Smooth and finish surfaces using trowels, floats, screeds, and other tools
- Apply curing compounds, sealers, or surface treatments
- Set forms, edge, groove, and joint concrete surfaces
- Read and interpret basic plans and grade stakes
- Ensure surfaces meet specified tolerances and finishes
- Repair and patch concrete surfaces as needed
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Work collaboratively with foremen and crew members
Requirements
- Proven experience as a concrete finisher
- Knowledge of concrete mixes, finishing techniques, and curing methods
- Ability to use hand and power finishing tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physical ability to perform demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to work extended hours when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with flatwork, foundations, sidewalks, driveways, and slabs
- Ability to read blueprints and grade elevations
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification (a plus)
