POSITION OVERVIEW
Humanus is seeking an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead a small recruiting team while continuing to recruit and fill positions personally.
This is a hands-on leadership role. The Recruitment Manager will manage and coach recruiters, set priorities, monitor performance and step in directly to help fill positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior recruiting experience, preferably in staffing, education, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or another high-volume environment
- Experience managing, supervising, or leading a recruiting team
- Proven ability to recruit personally while managing the performance of others
- Strong sourcing, interviewing, candidate-management, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to set expectations, provide feedback, and hold team members accountable
- Understanding of recruiting metrics and how activity impacts placements and revenue
- Strong organization, communication, judgment, and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and time-sensitive staffing needs
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, and recruiting technology
- Experience recruiting school-based professionals, paraprofessionals, behavioral-health professionals, or related positions is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant professional experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Leadership
- Manage, coach, and support a small team of recruiters
- Set daily and weekly priorities based on client needs and open positions
- Lead recruiting meetings, individual check-ins, and team training
- Monitor recruiter activity, productivity, candidate flow, submissions, interviews, placements, and time-to-fill
- Hold recruiters accountable for responsiveness, follow-through, and results
- Help recruiters strengthen sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate-management skills
- Support the onboarding and development of new recruiters
Recruiting
- Personally recruit candidates and maintain an active workload of open positions
- Source candidates through job boards, internal databases, referrals, social media, direct outreach, and other recruiting channels
- Screen and interview candidates based on experience, qualifications, availability, communication skills, and overall fit
- Maintain candidate relationships throughout the recruiting, credentialing, and placement process
- Review candidate submissions for quality, accuracy, and alignment with client requirements
Operations & Process Improvement
- Partner with client management, business development, credentialing, and operations to prioritize staffing needs
- Identify recruiting challenges and develop practical solutions to improve candidate flow and fill rates
- Help improve recruiting processes, reporting, team organization, and use of company systems
- Participate in recruiting strategy, workforce planning, and difficult-to-fill searches
