What are the responsibilities and job description for the SRO/Patrol Officer position at Humansville Police Department?
Primary Duties
- Provide a safe and secure learning environment as the School Resource Officer.
- Conduct routine patrols within the City of Humansville.
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Enforce Missouri criminal statutes and city ordinances.
- Conduct traffic enforcement and investigate traffic crashes.
- Build positive relationships with students, faculty, and community members.
- Participate in crime prevention and community outreach programs.
- Complete reports, investigations, and court-related documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Missouri Class A POST Certified (Required)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Missouri Driver License
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Successfully pass a background investigation and any required pre-employment screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous patrol or School Resource Officer experience
- Strong commitment to community policing
- Ability to work effectively with youth, educators, and families
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
