Visual Inspector

Now hiring a temporary Visual Inspector to come and join the team at this Coeur d’Alene, ID manufacturing company! Responsible for inspecting printed materials during production and at the end of the production process to ensure they meet established quality standards.

Compensation for the Visual Inspector

· $16 - $18 Per Hour DOE

· Monday through Thursday, 6 am – 4:30 pm with occasional OT on Friday

· Temporary lasting 2-3 months

Responsibilities for the Visual Inspector

• Perform visual in-process and final product quality checks on printed products for defects, including but not limited to: Ink streaks, Image misalignment, Cracking or flaking, Smearing or smudging, Incomplete or inconsistent print adherence
• Compare printed materials to quality standards and reference samples
• Use tools such as magnifiers, test equipment, lights, or scanners as needed for close inspection
• Document and report any non-conformities to the Production Supervisor or relevant team member
• Work closely with operators and production staff to address and resolve print quality issues in real time
• Follow all company safety and operational procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to lean/5S practices
• Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to quality control meetings as needed

Requirements for the Visual Inspector

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 1 year of visual inspection experience
• Strong attention to detail and visual acuity
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing documentation
• Familiarity with ESD practices and IPC-A-610 (preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Office (desired)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends, as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs frequently and 20 lbs occasionally
