The Humanity First USA Student Division is a branch of Humanity First USA, a nonprofit organization focused on disaster relief and capacity-building. Its mission is to empower youth through leadership, service, and professional development by establishing Humanity First Student Organizations (HFSOs) at educational institutions. Currently, there are over 61 HFSOs across universities, high schools, and professional schools in the United States. These organizations actively support Humanity First’s local and global humanitarian initiatives.
Role Description
This is a part time, Public Relations and Social Media Officer for Humanity First Student Division USA. The responsibilities of this role include developing and implementing public relations strategies, managing the organization’s social media platforms, creating engaging content, increasing online presence, and promoting Humanity First’s objectives and events. The officer will also collaborate with HFSOs to amplify their initiatives while maintaining the brand’s voice and image.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Public Relations, Media Relations, and Community Outreach
- Proficiency in Social Media Management, Content Creation, and Digital Marketing
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to develop and execute marketing campaigns and strategies
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with nonprofit initiatives and fundraising efforts is a plus
- Experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience with graphic design or video editing tools is advantageous
