Summary:
Humanitary Medical Center is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant plays a critical role in supporting healthcare providers by ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, medical histories, and recording symptoms.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures by handling instruments and supplies.
- Manage patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments, follow up on referrals, and coordinate communication between patients and medical staff.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of experience within the healthcare medical center industry.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. preferably MD Vita.
- Previous experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a primary care or community health environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish, to better serve the local community.

Monday-Friday 7:30 A.M. to 2:00 PM at Tampa location AND 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brandon location.
