What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Cafeteria Services position at HUMANIM INC?
Reporting to the Director, City Seeds, the City Seeds Dining Services Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the dining facility for the Freestate Challenge Academy located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The goal of this position is to oversee all food service operations, manage staff, ensure food safety, and inventory conciseness, drive efficiency, and work closely with the City Seeds production kitchen located in Baltimore. The Manager will be responsible for supervising scheduled shifts, ensuring food safety protocols are being met, and the overall efficiency of daily operations. This role works in conjunction with the Chef to ensure culinary services are meeting expectations and consumer feedback is provided.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Culinary School experience preferred.
- 4 years of food industry experience, including food prep experience and management experience.
- Must have ServSafe Certification.
- Must have valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Background check required by contract.
- Ability to manage the kitchen, deliveries, and inventory control of all products.
- Familiarity with state and local food health & safety requirements.
- Working knowledge of current office equipment and computer programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- An operational mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a go-getter attitude, detail-oriented, a problem solver, a creative thinker, and a people person.
