HumanHire is working with a precision manufacturing company in the Uniondale area, to help find a Assembly Supervisor to join their team. The Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of assemblers/solder technicians while staying hands-on in production—overseeing daily assembly operations, assigning work, and ensuring quality and output goals are met.
Pay Rate: Up to $75k/yr
Location: Hempstead, NY
Schedule: 9/80 schedule Monday-Friday (Alternating Fridays off)
Assembly Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team of assemblers and solder technicians while remaining hands-on in daily production
- Perform and oversee assembly and wiring of electronic components, including surface mount and through-hole work
- Set daily production priorities and assign tasks to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Monitor team performance, provide coaching/training, and drive continuous improvement on the floor
- Manage administrative tasks such as timesheets, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- Partner with management on hiring, interviewing, and onboarding new team members
Assembly Supervisor Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of hands-on soldering and electronic assembly experience in a production environment
- Strong experience with surface mount (including fine pitch), through-hole, and chassis wiring under a microscope
- J-STD-001 certification required (Space-level preferred)
- Proven ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role within manufacturing/assembly
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and build positive team relationships
