What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Personnel Scheduler position at HumanGood?
Rydal Park, a premier Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown, is hiring a Full Time Personnel Scheduler to join our Health Care team!
Under limited supervision, the Personnel Scheduler schedules for Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants in order to provide the highest levels of care to our residents. Responsibilities include making a master schedule, handling call offs and PTO request, and completing payroll. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
A day in the life may include:
- Assisting the Director of Nursing in staffing appropriately licensed/certified team members through preparation and maintenance of daily and monthly schedules;
- Preparing schedules for healthcare team members according to census in the health center and submitting to Director of Nursing for review;
- Scheduling health center team members for monthly in-service trainings;
- Managing a pool of health care team members, coordinating and maintaining their schedules, addressing questions, comments and concerns, as well as providing updated information regarding their residents and care plans;
- Completing payroll bi-weekly;
- Completing reports and documenting and monitoring staff absenteeism;
- Assisting with initial screening of team members and working with HR in regards to scheduling floor orientation;
- Inputting data into electronic medical record for billing purposes;
- Maintaining a call log, which includes incoming calls from case managers, residents, aides, and other callers, documenting notes of conversations either within the scheduling software or other designated places regarding but not limited to client concerns, schedule changes, hospitalizations, etc.;
- Communicating directly with caregivers, consumers, family members and case managers;
- Completing data input for care plans and minimum data sets as needed;
- Daily reconciliation of nursing hours and prepares HPPD for yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Details:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00m pm
Pay: Starting at 23.00 per hour based on experience
To be successful in the role, you would have:
- High school diploma or equivalent (AA degree preferred)
- A minimum of 1 year of scheduling experience (skilled nursing environment preferred)
