Full-Time, Exempt. $76,000 - $115,000 DOE

Description
Under limited supervision, the Dining Services Director is responsible for managing all food and beverage operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The incumbent will forecast, plan, manage, and oversee staff for the Community’s dining room, bistro and bar.
Full-Time, Exempt. $76,000 - $115,000 DOE
Work Duties
- Oversees the Community of the dining room(s), bistro and bar for residents and guests
- Responsible for catering and special event planning,
- Responsible for team member scheduling, training and development,
- Oversees the scheduling of all dining service personnel to maintain compliance with budgetary guidelines,
- Hires, trains, evaluates team members in accordance with company policies,
- Provides ongoing education of foods and ingredients to all staff,
- Conducts pre-shift meetings and hands on training,
- Provides oversight of front of the house service and protocols with focus on customer service and satisfaction,
- Responds promptly and works to resolve resident concerns and /or complaints,
- Maintains a quality assurance program,
- Demonstrates knowledge and teaching of food handling and storage procedures with regards to public health standards,
- Establishes and ensures adherence to all product: quality, consistency, presentation, portioning, garnishment, and utilization goals,
- Maintains overall food and labor costs within budgetary guidelines,
- Develops well balanced menus in collaboration with Executive Chef and Dietitian,
- Demonstrates the proper operation of all equipment to staff per proper procedures, and testing equipment to ensure accuracy of temperature gauges, heating or cooling elements etc.,
- Ensures a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized operation, adhering to all health and safety regulations,
- Responsible for purchasing all food and non-food items as required by weekly menus as well as emergency supplies,
- Acts as the community’s representative for any health department or other required inspections, assuring compliance and follow up on any deficiencies,
- Maintains all logs per policies and procedures,
- Ensures all dining service employees adhere to the grooming and uniform policies
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation/maintenance of all kitchen equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices,
- Maintains a positive and professional demeaner towards all residents, their family members and guests, and co-workers,
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- 2 years running front of house in restaurant, hotel convention center or other like venue.
- Must have experience in opening new venues.
- BA degree in Hotel Management/Restaurant Management preferred or equivalent experience. Two to Three years in related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of food service operations and a variety of styles of services.
- Over 4 years of experience up to and including 10 years.
- CDM or DSS preferred
