To Be Successful In The Role, You Would Have
- Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or currently enrolled in program
- CPR Training
- Prior CNA or caregiving experience preferred
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with ADLs such as toileting, bathing, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Provide personal care, including grooming and hygiene assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team, demonstrating compassion and empathy.
- Provide patient assistance as needed, including feeding and medication reminders.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and requests, providing excellent customer service.
- Participate in activities to promote patient well-being and engagement.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications are expected.
- Working knowledge of basic patient care principles.
- General knowledge of vital signs monitoring techniques.
- Ability to perform ADLs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in the English language.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience providing nursing care in a healthcare setting.
- Experience in a hospital or long-term care facility.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Prior experience with patient assistance.
