Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician located in San Bernardino, CA. The technician will provide animal care, assist veterinarians with procedures, and monitor anesthesia during surgical and medical treatments. They will also perform various veterinary technology tasks, ensure the proper handling of animals, and engage in client education to ensure pet well-being outside of the facility. Additional responsibilities include providing support in spay/neuter clinics and maintaining a safe, clean environment for all animals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Animal Care and Pet Care, ensuring the health and comfort of animals.
- Knowledge and skills in Veterinary Technology, including assisting in medical and surgical procedures.
- Experience with Anesthesiology, including administering and monitoring anesthesia during surgeries.
- Strong Client Education capabilities to communicate effectively with pet owners about proper care and health practices.
- Relevant certifications or licensure as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Prior experience in spay/neuter clinics or animal welfare organizations is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
