What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Custodian position at Humane Society of Missouri?
The Humane Society of Missouri is in search of a seasoned custodian to assist in upholding the cleanliness of our adoption center. As the Senior Custodian, you will play a vital role in furthering our mission by ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for both animals and visitors. We are looking for someone who is punctual, respectful, and focused on completing tasks efficiently.
In this role you will:
- Sweeps and mops all public areas, other than kennel areas
- Clean and scrub carpeted areas as needed
- Maintain tile floors through stripping, buffing, and refinishing (Quarterly)
- Maintain the security and maintenance of equipment and tools
- Keep accurate records of work and scheduled services for equipment
- Receive, load, and unload supplies as needed
- Set up tables, chairs, and furniture for events and meetings
- May help with snow removal from sidewalk areas as needed
- Provide assistance with supply procurement
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have at least 5 Years experience in a related field
- Possession of a valid Driver's License is required
- Previous experience cleaning and maintaining floors is a plus
