Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the necessary skills to provide excellent care for our furry residents. The work days would be Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 7-10am with the opportunity for more hours based on shelter needs: events, vacations, etc. The role is working with cats but there may be the opportunity to work with dogs as well.
Duties:
- Feed, water, and monitor the well-being of animals in the kennel
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal living areas
- Administer medications under veterinary supervision
- Maintain accurate records of animal health and behavior
Skills:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
- Proficient in animal handling techniques
- Experience related animal care roles
- Capability in animal restraint methods
- Understanding of kennel operations and maintenance
