The Senior Financial Reporting Professional prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization. The Senior Financial Reporting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior Financial Reporting Professional ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies. Prepares reporting and analysis as requested based on specific requirements. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
The Senior Financial Reporting Professional performs activities supporting external financial reporting needs for various Medicaid states. Work assignments are of moderately to difficult complexity, including data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and submission of reporting. In addition, this role will assist with data analysis supporting internal and external needs to various data partners, utilizing SQL, Python, or other data retrieval and processing tools as required.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$86,300 - $118,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- 5 or more years of previous experience in working with large data sets, querying, or consolidation of results for reporting; exposure to SQL or querying tools
- Moderate experience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- 2 or more years of previous experience with financial reporting and/or data analysis
- This role is Hybrid Home from Louisville, KY requiring two days in office in the Waterside Building.
- Previous health insurance industry experience working in Finance/Accounting
- Previous experience with data warehouse tables and data flows
