The Financial Analytics Professional manages data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues. The Financial Analytics Professional work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
***This role is located out of Louisville, KY. You must live within proximity to the Louisville, KY office. This role would be considered hybrid based on business discretion. ***
The MRA Finance team supports Humana’s Medicare Risk Adjustment business area. The Finance team develops revenue and risk score projections for bids and budgets, evaluates changes in Medicare regulations and payment models, monitors and reports on risk adjustment data submissions, and supports operations.
This role will be responsible for building, updating, and enhancing financial models as well as building relationships with our business partners. Good technical skills and problem-solving skills will be needed in addition to an eagerness to learn.
Works with other associates in Corporate Finance and Medicare Risk Adjustment
Distills complex financial and non-financial data into concise presentable information that will drive managerial decision making
Extracts raw data from multiple databases and efficiently summarizes the data
Creates and maintains process documentation
Regular use of SQL and Excel

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
1 + years of relevant work experience( data analysis, finance, etc)
1+ years of SAS or SQL programming experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in compiling, modeling, interpreting and analyzing data in order to identify, explain, influence variances and trends
Ability to work independently and collaborate with teammates
Experience in managing data to support and influence decisions on day-to-day operations, strategic planning and specific business performance issues

Preferred Qualifications
Financial or actuarial background
Medicare Risk Adjustment Experience
Medicare Advantage or Healthcare Industry Experience
Experience building Power BI dashboards
