- Accurately prepare and submit clean claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and other payers
- Follow up on unpaid claims, handle denials, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Post all remittances for Medicare/Medicaid payments
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and coding standards
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure complete and accurate billing information
- Generate and analyze billing reports; present findings and suggest process improvements
- Assist with rate negotiations and maintain balanced billing documentation
- Proven experience billing State Medicaid (required)
- Familiarity with Medicare billing and EMR systems
- In-depth knowledge of home health billing codes and healthcare reimbursement practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
