Position Title : Residential Program Supervisor II
Human Services, Inc. is a recovery driven community mental health center that has been serving the Chester County community for more than 50 years. HSI is committed to providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, outpatient therapy, psychiatric day rehabilitation and residential treatment of people with serious and persistent mental illness. HSI's Mission is to provide the highest quality of treatment that is most responsive to the needs of the individual in the most appropriate and least intrusive manner.
HSI is currently seeking a dynamic leader to provide daily oversight and management to a Community Residential Rehabilitation Program (CRR) and two permanent supported housing programs. The CRR program is modeled after transitional housing model where residents acquire skills in the program over a 3 to 4 year period of time before moving to a living arrangement with supports in place to meet individual needs.
Status of Position: Full-time, exempt.
The Residential Program Supervisor II is responsible for:
- Overseeing the management oif the operations of a 3 residential programs in the West Chester Area.
- Coaching residents and staff in the principles of recovery, independent living skills including but not limited to personal hygiene, medication management, budgeting, use of public transportation, meal preparation, independent living arrangements, etc.
- Assuring the health, safety and well-being of all residents.
- Providing supervision to all Residential Counselors
- Developing the program work schedule within the budgeted hours and in compliance with the mandated staffing ratios.
- Monitoring the quality of the service delivery to the individuals being supported in the home.
- Assuring each person is being offered a well-balanced diet.
- Managing all physical site and company vehicle maintenance issues to the appropriate persons.
- Assuring reported maintenance issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Facilitate monthly team meetings
- Respond to emergency situations either by phone or in person as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing Programs.
The following clearances are required: FBI/Child Abuse History/PA Criminal History/PA Driver’s License. Employees must maintain a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years mental health experience is required or an Associate’s Degree and 1 year of mental health experience.
- Have a thorough knowledge of recovery and wellness philosophy.
- Have a working knowledge of issues faced by those who experience serious mental illness.
- Have strong managerial, organizational and time management skills.
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Establish positive working relationships with staff, community partners and the individuals you work with.
- Relate positively with colleagues and representatives of other agencies.
- Have the ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences.
- Must be able to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
