The Director of Housing Programs is responsible for:
Job Duties: This position is based out of the flagship office in Thorndale, PA. The Director of Housing Programs supervises all of the supervisors of the Residential and Homeless Support Services departments throughout Chester County. The Director is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the quality of delivery of services for all programs within the purview of the position. The Director attends/serves on several committees within the organization and has a wide variety of time commitments outside of the agency from interfacing with the organization’s funding sources at the County and Managed Care level to participating in routine meetings with business partners within the agency’s footprint.
Employees are required to pass FBI/Criminal/Child/Driver license background checks. Employee must maintain a valid drivers’ license and current automobile insurance. Employee cannot be on the Federal ineligibility list.
- Supervision:
- The Director is responsible for directly supervising managers of all of the Residential programs and Homeless Support services departments throughout Chester County..
- The Director is responsible for reviewing and approving payroll for front line staff and supervisors..
- Facilitate bi-weekly management staff meetings with supervisors in all departments within the Residential, Homeless Support Services and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Departments.
- Attend weekly Director’s meeting with the Executive Management team.
- Evaluate employee’s performance in accordance with applicable policies.
- Quality Assurance/Management:
- Review and monitor progress notes for all programs under the Director's purview.
- Assure regulatory compliance for all licensed programs.
- Facilitate monthly Incident Management Committee meeting.
- Analyze all agency incidents and look for trends and develop corrective action plans with supervisors and staff.
- Measure client satisfaction using Client survey looking for trends and areas to improve services and supports.
- Conduct physical site reviews of all residential homes and identify areas needing improvement.
- Participate in agency's monthly Safety Committee meeting.
- Quality Improvement:
- Providing training and project oversight to CTI team on case management regulations and documentation.
- Assisting with agency form changes in agency's electronic medical record and communicating changes to all employees.
- Actively participate in agency wide Quality Improvement initiatives including the Safety, Quality Improvement, and Incident Management Commit.
- Seek out and actively participate in other Quality Initiatives that enhances services provided to clients and utilize the Principles of Recovery.
- Miscellaneous:
- Conducts Peer Review for significant incidents.
- Attends various meetings outside of the organization.
- Overseeing and leading in preparation for various County, State and internal audits.
- Supervisor performs related work activities as directed by the Executive Director.
- Participate in the facilitation of required Agency, State, County trainings and all other training related to job responsibilities. Mandatory trainings include a 3 day State training, HIPAA, Recovery/Resiliency, Cultural Competence, Fraud/Abuse, Complaint Management and Incident Management.
The following clearances are required: FBI/Child Abuse History/PA Criminal History/PA Driver’s License. Employees must maintain a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master’s degree and a minimum of 10 years mutli-site/department supervisory experience is required.
- Have a thorough knowledge of recovery and wellness philosophy.
- Have a working knowledge of issues faced by those who experience serious mental illness.
- Have strong managerial, organizational and time management skills.
- Must possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Establish positive working relationships with staff, community partners and the individuals you work with.
- Relate positively with colleagues and representatives of other agencies.
- Have the ability to recognize and be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences.
- Must be able to safely perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
