We are seeking a full-time Staff Attorney to join our team on-site in Boynton Beach, FL. The Staff Attorney will provide legal advice, handle litigation, and conduct legal research on issues related to human rights, detention conditions, and government accountability. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, engaging in negotiations, working on labor and employment law matters, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will contribute to advancing HRDC’s mission through advocacy and legal expertise.
- Strong background in Law with specialized knowledge or experience in Labor and Employment Law
- Proficiency in providing Legal Advice, drafting legal documents, and analyzing complex legal issues
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting detailed Research and crafting legal arguments
- Skilled in Negotiation and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- A commitment to human rights and social justice advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to handle litigation with attention to detail and strategic thinking
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree; active membership in good standing with a state bar association
- Experience in non-profit or public interest legal work is a plus
