Experienced Home-Based Direct Care Service Provider

Job Title: Home-Based Waiver Community Specialist DSP -Mount Bethel, PA

Are you passionate about making a difference in someone's life? Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.

Northampton County, PA| Mount Bethel | $19.00

10-20 hours a week to start, as caregiver needs increase, opportunity to work 40 hours

What You'll Do:

• Assist individuals in participating in meaningful activities like volunteering, bowling, and visiting parks or libraries.
• Support individuals with personal care and hygiene as needed.
• Provide transportation to community outings and appointments.
• Ensure safety, including managing elopement risks when necessary.
• Foster independence and enhance daily living skills in a comfortable, home-based setting.

What We're Looking For:

• Caring, patient, and reliable individuals with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to support individuals in both home and community settings.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in caregiving, respite, or community support (preferred but not required).

Requirements:

• 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Background check and physical exam
• Preferred experience with intellectual disabilities and mental health
