Job Title: Home-Based Waiver Community Specialist DSP in the Matamoras area
Are you passionate about making a difference in someone's life? Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is hiring compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist individuals in participating in meaningful activities like volunteering, bowling, and visiting parks or libraries.
- Support individuals with personal care and hygiene as needed.
- Looking for a staff for 2 brothers and staff would work with both
- Provide transportation to community outings and appointments.
- Ensure safety needs are met.
- Foster independence and enhance daily living skills
What We’re Looking For:
- Caring, patient, and reliable individuals passionate about helping others.
- Ability to support individuals in both home and community settings.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in caregiving, respite, or community support (preferred but not required).
- 12 hours/week Companion Service (Sunday, Monday, Saturday 4 Hours Each); 4 -5 Hours/Week IHCS (Friday Evenings)
Requirements:
- 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Background check and physical exam
- Preferred experience with intellectual disabilities and mental health
