Now Hiring: Direct Support Professional – Community Participation Supports (CPS)
Honesdale, PA | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

The Human Resources Center, Inc. (HRC) is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSPs) within our Community Participation Supports program. In this role, you'll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in reaching their goals, promoting independence, and fully participating in their communities.
What You’ll Do:
- Support individuals in daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement.
- Facilitate volunteer opportunities, job readiness, recreational activities, and social experiences.
- Promote inclusion and decision-making in real-life settings.
- Assist with meal prep, hygiene needs, and mobility.
- Administer medications as trained and assigned.
- Transport individuals to community outings and activities using agency vehicles.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment—both in the program facility and in the community.
- Accurately document progress and daily notes using a tablet or computer.
- Participate in team meetings and trainings.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience preferred but not required—we’ll train the right person!
- Valid PA driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age (recommended).
- Ability to pass PA Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and Federal Background Check.
- Ability to lift or transfer up to 50 lbs using proper body mechanics.
- Willingness to complete all required trainings including CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, CPI, and CPS training.
- Physical exam by an agency-approved provider, initially and every two years.
