Schedules & Hours – Monday- Friday 8am - 1pm or Saturday - Sunday 8am – 10am

We are hiring a Janitorial Services Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards at our Bureau of Land Management/California Trail Center in Elko, NV, ensuring a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for both clients and staff.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks. This position provides an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the overall appearance and sanitation of our premises through diligent work and professional conduct.
What you’ll do:
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock levels are low.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are adhered to.
- Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning activities to the relevant department.
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines while remaining flexible to accommodate special requests or urgent needs.
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability.
What you need:
- Prior experience in commercial or residential cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good physical stamina and mobility to perform manual tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for team coordination and reporting issues.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards maintaining a clean environment.
What you bring:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the care and cleaning of buildings.
- Must have experience in Buffing, Waxing, Stripping, and Carpet Shampooing.
- Must have the ability to complete necessary checklists, inventory & provide other data.
- MUST HAVE A VALID REAL ID DRIVERS' LICENSE, VERIFIABLE & RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
- MUST POSSESS A DOJ SECURITY CLEARANCE OR BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK/SECURITY CLEARANCE OF THIS LEVEL. (MUST HAVE REAL ID FOR THIS PROCESS)
- MUST HAVE A SMARTPHONE AND ABILITY TO USE LOCATION SERVICES FOR THE TIME AND ATTENDANCE APPLICATION.
