Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager leads and supports a nationwide team responsible for cultivating technology donations, partnerships, and long-term relationships. This role provides strategic direction for business growth, drives cross-functional collaboration, and ensures high-quality engagement with partners and donors. The manager fosters a high-performing, mission-driven culture while strengthening Human-I-T’s reach, operational alignment, and overall impact.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Train, motivate, and manage Business Development Executives and Customer Success Agents.
- Set performance expectations, promote accountability, and develop a strong team culture.
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and support for professional development.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive new business growth.
- Participate in high-level negotiations with partners and donors.
- Identify vendors and negotiate contracts to optimize service and cost.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Philanthropy, and Programs to ensure seamless execution.
- Collaborate with Marketing to prepare materials, support campaigns, and qualify leads.
- Maintain high operational standards and promote continuous improvement.
- Oversee reporting on business development activities, accounts, and strategic progress.
- Present updates to senior leadership, including the CEO and Board.
- Monitor market trends and team performance to refine strategies.
Job Specifications:
This role requires a proactive, organized leader with strong communication and business development skills. The Business Development Manager must be able to guide a distributed team, manage strategic relationships, and collaborate across departments to support organizational growth. Education:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business development role with management responsibilities, preferably in the ITAD or E-Waste sectors.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- CRM proficiency (HubSpot)
- Project management skills (Asana)
- Negotiation and problem-solving abilities

Work Context:
Indoors, in an office or remote work environment, primarily using computers for communication, coordination, and reporting.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
