We deliver exercise design, role-player and casualty simulation, and SOF/intelligence training support to U.S. Government customers nationwide, including extensive Special Operations and CBRN Response Enterprise exercise support. HDS maintains a vetted, cleared cadre and a reputation for disciplined, mission-focused execution.

Essential Responsibilities

  • React authentically to SOF tactics, questioning, and engagement techniques to create realistic training conditions that exercise the unit’s METL.
  • Support scenario events such as HUMINT-style engagements, source meetings, screening interactions, key-leader engagements, and crowd/atmospherics as scripted.
  • Take direction from the exercise control cell / white cell; stay within scenario guardrails and adjust on cue.
  • Participate in role-player briefs, rehearsals, and after-action feedback as scheduled.
  • Comply with all site access, safety, OPSEC, and clearance-handling requirements throughout the period of performance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Active security clearance. Active SECRET clearance, or current in-scope SECRET eligibility verifiable in DISS.
  • Korean proficiency. Korean at DLPT Listening 2 / Reading 2 (L2/R2) or higher, or documented native / heritage fluency where no test score exists. Strong speaking ability is essential to the role.
  • Relevant background. Experience in one or more of: military intelligence, HUMINT, or SOCOM /SOF support.
  • SOF METL familiarity. Working familiarity with SOF mission essential task lists and how role-player performance supports SOF training objectives.
  • Performance ability. Able to sustain an immersive role and react credibly to a SOF training audience for the duration of each training day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior SOF or SOF-enabler experience (e.g., Special Forces, Civil Affairs, PSYOP/MISO, or SOF intelligence).
  • Prior role-player, observer/controller, or exercise-support experience.
  • Higher Korean proficiency (L3/R3 or above) and familiarity with North Korean dialect and register.
