Program Development Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s degree in community development, public health, communications/journalism, education, or related field.
2. Experience in successful grant/proposal writing.
3. Excellent research, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
5. Ability to organize, multitask, pay attention to details, and maintain accurate records.
6. Experience in program development, community assessments, and/or market research desired.
7. Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
8. Available for local and out-of-area travel.
9. Must be sympathetic to the goals of a Community Action Agency.
10. Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
WAGE
$27.00/hour plus agency fringe benefits
Fringe benefits include, but are not limited to, four-day work week, paid time off and 11 paid holidays.

SCHEDULE
Monday through Wednesday 7:30 a.m.– 5:30 p.m., Thursday 7:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research and identify government and private funding sources that align with the Human Development Commission’s mission and strategic objectives.
2. Prepare and organize materials for proposals including drafting narratives and budgets.
3. Assist Program Development Director with the development of programs/services including preparing, writing, and submitting grant proposals to potential funding sources most commonly federal and state funders.
4. Work with administrative staff, program managers, and external partners to identify service gaps, develop solutions, and connect ideas to grant proposals.
5. Coordinate and execute thorough program evaluations, as necessary.
6. Assist with facilitating groups in planning and preparing written products such as community assessments, community reports, policy/procedures, etc.
7. Maintain calendar of grants and associated files.
