Job description:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for inspecting products, performing technical verification through assembly analysis, identifying quality concerns, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong and professional working relationships with Supervisors, Production Operators, and Production Coordinators.
- Perform technical inspections and verification of products, including disassembly and analysis of components.
- Maintain accurate inspection records, analytical reports, and daily shift documentation.
- Identify recurring defects, investigate potential root causes, and manage defective inventory.
- Support Quality Engineers with investigations and corrective actions related to complex quality issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on increasing quality, efficiency, and reducing waste.
- Conduct inspections with attention to detail and make accurate quality judgments.
- Assist with internal and external root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methods.
- Complete daily reports, logs, and documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing, production, quality inspection, or a related environment (automotive experience is a plus).
- Forklift certification required.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to complete detailed shift reports and production documentation.
- Comfortable standing and walking for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance experience.
- Experience using WMS, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards such as IATF 16949 is preferred.
