Position Overview
HUM Homes is seeking a part-time House Assistant to support a warm, busy family household in Ruston, Washington (near Point Defiance Park).
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys daily resets, meal prep, light organization, and supporting family flow. The household already has professional cleaners twice per week; this role focuses on maintaining order between cleanings, supporting meals, and keeping the day-to-day rhythm of the home running smoothly.
Success in this role is measured by how supported, organized, and calm the household feels — especially during busy school and work weeks.

Schedule & Hours
- Part-time: 10–20 hours per week
- Weekday support preferred
- Consistent, predictable schedule

Compensation
- $30 per hour
- Paid hourly
- Long-term placement preferred (2 years)
Core ResponsibilitiesDaily Home Reset & Organization
- Reset and tidy high-traffic areas throughout the day
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly (major priority)
- Manage dishes and dishwasher cycles
- Light laundry folding and organization
- Maintain simple, repeatable household systems
Meal Prep & Kitchen Support
- Prepare school lunches for four children
- Prep lunches for parents
- Chop and prep dinner ingredients; cook simple meals as needed
- Maintain organized fridge and pantry systems (Costco weekly deliveries)
- Support smooth meal flow without taking over family cooking
Scheduling & Family Flow
- Maintain a unified digital family calendar
- Track school events, sports schedules, and reminders
- Support daily rhythm and transitions
- Provide occasional child supervision (1–2 hours at a time)
- Assist with pickups and drop-offs as needed (valid driver's license required)
General Household Support
- Restock household essentials proactively
- Weekly touch-ups in fridge, pantry, mudroom, and kids' spaces
- Run basic errands (returns, grocery pickups)
- Coordinate lightly with cleaners or service providers when needed
