The scale operator is primarily responsible for the overall scale operations, helping maintain an effective office environment and providing exceptional customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

· Weighing scale traffic (grain, fertilizer, livestock, etc.)

· Ability to grade grain and identify foreign materials.

· Basic customer service and communication.

· Provide communication to customers regarding elevator hours and ticket information.

· Maintain a clean and professional appearance and provide courteous, timely, and professional customer service.

· Assist with other office functions as needed.

Qualifications: Must be able to perform or learn these essential duties satisfactorily. The list below is representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.

· High school diploma, or general education degree GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Follow and comply with FDA, OSHA, state, and federal regulations.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this job.

· Ability to work longer seasonal hours.

· Detail-oriented to provide accurate and consistent work.

· While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and drive. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment scale office. The scale area may involve exposure to dust and varying weather conditions. The scale office environment is typically climate-controlled and may have low to moderate noise levels.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
