Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing very sensitive materials, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure efficient distribution and shipping processes. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
- Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping orders accurately
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control
- Handle heavy lifting and materials handling tasks, including stacking, organizing, and storing products
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and cycle counts
- Support warehouse supervisors in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Use construction or mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues when necessary
- Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols during operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, or related logistics roles
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehouse operations
- Ability to operate RF scanners and warehouse management systems efficiently
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment maintenance
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and materials handling techniques
- Warehouse experience including order picker operation or crane operation is preferred
- Construction or industrial background is a plus
- Valid driver’s license preferred for equipment operation or transportation needs
