This leadership role ensures fleet readiness, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency while working closely with Mechanical Service Managers, vendors, and division leadership across the organization.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Fleet & Heavy Equipment Management
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs for assigned divisions
- Monitor equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Review oil sample reports, repair orders, and exception reports
- Ensure company equipment meets operational and safety standards
- Monitor manufacturer warranties, specifications, and service programs
Purchasing & Cost Control
- Review equipment repair and parts purchases
- Verify invoices, account coding, and supporting documentation
- Ensure purchasing policies and quote requirements are followed
- Assist with sourcing materials, parts, and vendor services at competitive pricing
Leadership & Compliance
- Support and develop Mechanical Service Managers
- Assist field locations with maintenance policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company transportation policies
- Investigate equipment incidents and asset protection concerns
- Review operational reports and identify opportunities for improvement
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
✔ 5 years of fleet, heavy equipment, or equipment management experience
✔ Experience managing preventative maintenance programs
✔ Experience overseeing multiple locations
✔ Budget planning and cost management experience
✔ Strong leadership and team development skills
✔ Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment knowledge
✔ Ability to travel 50%-75%, including occasional nights and weekends
✔ Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
