Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise retail staff to ensure efficient store operations, including shift management and employee training.
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and purchasing processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and drive sales.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and cashiering activities with accuracy.
- Develop and execute sales plans, monitor sales targets, and analyze retail math to maximize revenue.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and increase store visibility.
- Conduct interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and facilitate employee orientation and development programs.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage payroll processing, and support budgeting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store standards.
- Foster excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize strong communication skills to motivate the team, provide constructive feedback, and promote a collaborative work environment.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail sales techniques, inventory control, and merchandising.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, payroll administration, and bookkeeping practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate staff effectively.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases.
