Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Senior Structural Project Manager (Bridge) PE at our Dallas or Austin office. This full-time Senor Structural Project Manager position is within our transportation group and should have a min of 10 years of Project Management experience with structural clients. Must be registered in Texas as a Professional Engineer.

Duties
- Work as a member of multi-discipline project team in the design and development of projects.
- Collaborate with, and act as a resource for, Huitt-Zollars in a multi-discipline office. This includes conducting meetings with clients, internal disciplines and or contractors and their subs.
- Design and analyze structural systems for low-to high-rise buildings.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks between multiple disciplines and attend regular meetings.
- Effectively mentor young engineers and assist in their development.
- Assist and work with senior staff to develop project budgets and proposed fees.
- Review shop drawings, perform field inspections, and facilitate the construction administration process.
- Demonstrate competency in all project phases.
- Perform quality reviews of engineering plans for completeness and engineering accuracy.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE), Master’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (MSCE) is a plus.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in State of Texas.
- Min of 10 years of experience, including project management
- Ability to obtain license in other states.
- Proficient with TxDOT design practice and guidelines highly preferred.
- Rail bridge design experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with relevant technology/software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, OpenBridge, RISA, STADD.
- Passionate about transportation and major highway design projects.
- Ability to work / lead in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Having a deep understanding of how your work and contributions as a co-owner add to Huitt-Zollars’ mission and core values.
- Maintaining expected Effective Labor Multiplier (ELM) on sum of all associated projects.
- Consistently upholds business processes including timely monthly A/R’s, invoicing, timekeeping, resource forecasting, percent completes, etc.
- Achieves personal sales goal.
- Achieves stated target personal utilization goal for SPM.
- Understands, follows and ensures quality control measures and risk management measures are being applied and adhered to projects and daily operations.
