Accurately schedule and maintain workers compensation appointments (at the Main Clinic as well as Satellite Clinics) at a very fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Position Responsibilities
- Answer multi-phone lines and return messages in a timely manner.
- Accurately enter patient demographics and insurance information.
- Accurately learn each physician’s protocol and apply during scheduling.
- Accurately triage and schedule patients with the correct physician.
- Accurately maintain physician schedules to include canceling and rescheduling.
- Maintain effective oral/written communication with patients, employers, case managers, WC adjusters, physicians and staff concerning patient appt needs.
- Request records and prepare for physician review.
- Collect prepayments for IME’s and Second Opinions.
- As schedule requires, monitor various office equipment for incoming records and file for upcoming appt.
- Register and utilize online portals to obtain authorizations.
Required:
- One (1) year experience in a medical office setting with insurance verification experience.
- Must have the ability to accurately type 45-50 wpm.
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Special Qualifications:
- Knowledge of HIPAA.
