Duties
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and systems issues using automotive diagnostics tools.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and suspension checks to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair and replace critical components including brakes, shocks & struts, powertrain parts, and diesel engines with precision and care.
- Utilize schematics and automotive electrical system knowledge to troubleshoot complex problems accurately.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features and perform wheel alignments for enhanced vehicle safety.
- Execute auto body repairs, welding, and other mechanical repairs to restore vehicles to factory standards.
- Maintain detailed service records, prepare estimates using auto estimating software, and communicate effectively with customers about repair needs.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical repair.
- Hands-on experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, air brake systems, and power tools is essential.
- Experience repairing diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and performing wheel alignments is preferred.
- Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and welding skills will be considered a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently using hand tools and power tools in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to provide clear explanations of repairs and estimates.
