Plastic Injection Setup: McHenry, Illinois
We have an excellent opportunity in McHenry, Illinois for an experienced Plastic Injection Setup Technician. This position is ideal for a mechanically skilled individual who enjoys hands-on problem solving and ensuring efficient, high-quality production on 1st shift.
Responsibilities of the Plastic Injection Setup Technician:
• Perform mold setups and color changes to meet production demands
• Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, collaborating with quality inspectors to identify defects
• Set molding process parameters to ensure part production quality
• Perform injection mold changeovers and weekly preventative maintenance on MAAC machines
• Troubleshoot process, machine, and auxiliary equipment problems, making adjustments to reduce downtime
• Identify defects in process and/or production and work with plant teams to improve efficiency and quality
• Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades
• Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, collaborating with quality inspectors to identify defects

Plastic Injection Setup Requirements and Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required
• 2–3 years of plastic injection setup experience
• Strong mechanical skills and comprehension
• Ability to operate a forklift and crane
• Proficient in oral and written English communication
• Self-motivated with an interest in continual professional development

Pay for Plastic Injection Setup: $20–$24/hour
