Material Handler: Beloit, Wisconsin
Our customer in Beloit, Wisconsin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We’re recruiting Material Handlers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation, organization, and shipping of products, performing routine maintenance on equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment while collaborating with various teams to meet production and shipping goals.
Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
- Work in a safe and responsible manner at all times, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform routine forklift maintenance checks to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Organize and prepare products for shipping, including labeling, weighing, and stretch wrapping.
- Verify accuracy of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and Packing Slips, before dispatch.
- Assist in scheduling and loading scrap trailers as required for disposal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and shipping areas, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.
Material Handler Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three months of related experience in a warehouse or shipping environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, and labels.
- Basic mathematical skills to handle measurements, weights, and quantities accurately.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Ability to work overtime and adjust hours to meet production and shipping demands.
Pay for Material Handler: Starting at $18 - $20/hour.
