What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmworkers & Laborers, Crop, Nursery, Greenhouse position at Hughes Farm Partnership?
We are a 2500 acre row crop farming operation. We primarily grow corn cotton and soybeans utilizing flood and pivot irrigation Our equipment is all late model John Deere Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as: apply products such as fertilizers, pesticides, growth inhibitors, etc; attach/detach implements; be able to handle working in high humidity; clean work areas; load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities; load and unload materials and commodities; load inputs and drive trucks to transport to fields; maintain grounds and landscaping; mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter, spreader, sprayer type machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; set up repair, maintain, and operate specialized equipment; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, electric tools; work in extreme temperatures. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: augers, bins, silos, loading and unloading facilities, combines or other harvesting equipment, GPS guidance systems, grain carts, forklift, irrigation equipment, mowers and other landscaping equipment, pickups, cars, etc, semi trucks, tillage equipment, tractor/trailer combinations, tractors. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce: corn, cotton, soybeans. Must speak and understand English.
