Summary
Provides and directs the provision of home occupational therapy, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the occupational therapy process. Yadkin Valley Home Health proudly serves Alexander, Ashe, Davie, Forsyth, Iredell, Stokes, Surry, Wilkes and Yadkin counties.
Education and Formal Training: Registered by the American Occupational Therapy Association or successfully completed the educational requirements of OT and licensed in the State of North Carolina.
Work Experience: Minimum of two years experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire, safety, disaster, and infection control policies.
