The Healthcare Liaison will work together with Surry-Yadkin Works to on-board pre-apprentices and apprentices and attend Surry-Yadkin Works events such as job signing, job fairs, etc. The incumbent will meet with apprentices to ensure successful participation in the program and to act as a mentor to the students. The incumbent will have knowledge of health care, and have demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of a diverse workforce. This position will also provide administrative support to executives.
Education and Formal Training: High School Diploma or equivalent required, advanced education preferred.
Work Experience: Two (2) years of Human Resources experience required. Experience in healthcare preferred.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgement, and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Position requires a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and HRIS systems. Ability to communicate effectively. Must have exceptional public relations skills and ability to maintain professional posture at all times.
