Hugg and Hall Equipment Company is looking for someone with mechanical knowledge and customer service skills to join our team as a Field Service Mechanic. We are a full-service equipment company specializing in industrial and construction equipment since 1956.

About The Position

Field Service Technicians function as part of the Service Team and perform field diagnostics and repair on a wide range of customer and company-owned material handling equipment.

Advanced mechanical aptitude, strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a safety-first mentality are all key.

In This Role, You Will

  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, perform in field diagnostic inspections, and repair a wide range of construction equipment and components
  • Continuously communicate in a courteous and effective manner with customers and co-workers including Salespeople, Coordinators, and Managers regarding job progress and general updates
  • Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety laws, policies and rules, both on-site and during the operation of company vehicles

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as a service technician repairing and maintaining material handling equipment or in a related industry
  • Must own a complete line of tools including specialized tools needed to complete the job at the customer site
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Other Skills We Are Looking For

  • Strong technical skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment operation
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read or be trained in reading schematics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
