Overview
We are seeking a charismatic and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our nonprofit, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Spanish-speaking skills are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide culturally sensitive care to LGBTQIA , unstably housed, and PWUD.
- Greet and welcome guests in person and via telemedicine
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person or department
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Communicate essential and accurate information to patients in person, by telephone, and through approved patient communication platforms.
- Support administrative operations by scheduling appointments, answering patient questions, and directing patients to appropriate resources.
- Manage appointment scheduling across providers and services while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain an organized, efficient front desk environment while managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Navigate ambiguity with professionalism and calm, making sound decisions when situations are unclear
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Order front office supplies and keep accurate inventory
- Update calendars, schedule meetings, and assist with provider schedules
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
- Work comfortably and respectfully with LGBTQIA , HIV/Infectious disease, unstably housed, recovery, and minority patient populations
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with our organization
Experience
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in a medical office setting as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role in a high volume setting
- Experience using telemedicine platforms to communicate with patients
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skillsAbility to be resourceful, proactive, and solve problems as they arise. Comfortable working in high stress and evolving clinical setting
- Strong team player with excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in highly active environment.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $45,760.00 per year
