Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and merchandising to ensure smooth operations.
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management.
- Manage employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting efforts, and scheduling to build a strong retail team.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS systems, cashiering activities, and payroll processing with accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain inventory management through stock replenishment, purchasing decisions, and inventory control to optimize product availability.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotional displays aligned with company standards to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with operational policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures while fostering a positive customer experience.
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within the retail industry or similar sales environment.
- Demonstrated skills in management, team leadership, and employee development.
- Strong knowledge of retail math including basic math calculations for pricing, sales tracking, and inventory management.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, and payroll processes.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques, stock management software, and operational management tools.
- Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, training staff on retail operations, and supervising sales teams is highly desirable.
