Experience/Education/Skillsets Needed:
- Must be over the age of 18 to operate equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Driver’s License is Required at ALL Times. Any loss of driver’s license is an immediate termination.
- Must be hardworking and willing to put in a good day’s work to get the job done
- Self-motivating – much of the work will be performed unsupervised and self-motivation will be required in order to complete the work on schedule
- Tape Measure and Math - Must know how to read a tape measure and be able to cut metal precisely as well as be able to learn how to figure and price metal
Job Requirements Include:
Safety Requirements - Work safely and follow all HWMI and OSHA safety requirements
Daily Tasks could include but are not limited to:
- Store sales/customer service at HWMI
- Pricing - Price metal, industrial tools and welding gases
- Service – provide great customer service experience
- · Metal sales – cut metal using various saws and help coordinate pickup/deliveries
- · Welding Gas and industrial tool pricing/quoting
- Ordering - Place PO’s through our purchasing dept. for customer orders and inventory management
- · Put metal away in racks and be able to physically handle putting away and pulling metal for inventory and sales
- · Keeping shelves and inventory of stock items ordered, stocked and organized
- Computer skills – need ability to handle daily e-mail, look up pricing on tools and send quotes to customers
Items that may occur occasionally:
- Help deliver or ship items for customer needs
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and maneuver 75 to 100 lbs. without physical restrictions.
- This is a 40 hour per week job with occasional mandatory overtime
- Exposure to heat and cold depending on weather conditions
Other Beneficial Skills Include:
- Understanding of metals / industrial products – these items are trainable, but any prior knowledge would be beneficial
- CDL License – valid Class A or Class B CDL beneficial to be another backup commercial truck driver for deliveries
