This is a full-time role for a Controls/Automation Specialist (Technician) (CAS) at Huffman Engineering, Inc. in our Denver location, this role plays several roles, but is widely recognized as an expert
in troubleshooting, assembly, installation, and industry processes. The CAS applies his/her practical knowledge to systems integration. With extensive industry knowledge and practical knowledge, this individual can be the technical or industry lead on a smaller project or an installation. S/he has experience with testing, instrumentation, detail design, system functionality, and industry standards. The CAS can act alone or as a vital part of a team. S/he might be a licensed electrician, hold a contractor’s license, or hold software certifications. This specialist can follow specifications, read drawings, apply practical knowledge and help work move forward at a rapid and thorough pace. As an industry leader, the CAS may take many roles, not the least of which is training others in practical and technical aspects of controls.

Onsite Support and Troubleshooting
Testing, Verification, and Assembly
Installation and Direction
Control Panel Assembly

Software and or Hardware Configuration
Documentation and Detail Design
Qualifications
- Technical degree and equivalent work experience (5 or more years); Holds software certificates with demonstrated proficiency in at least one configuration software; OR extensive specific industry knowledge or Electrician and Contractor’s License. National Electrical Code knowledge.
- Analytical Skills and Communication
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Agile work experience
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Travel up to 25%
- Initial and Annual Drug Screening
- Must be U.S. citizen
- Must be able to work in all climate types
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able stand, climb, crawl, squat, and lean over
