We are seeking a reliable Maintenance Helper to support the Maintenance Team in keeping all production equipment and facility systems running safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, conveyors, mixers, baggers, and forklifts.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning motors, replacing belts, and checking fluid levels.
- Help with facility upkeep including minor repairs, painting, organizing supplies, and maintaining safe work areas.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical or mechanical equipment under supervision.
- Support equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments during production runs.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and proper PPE requirements.
- Document completed work and assist with maintaining maintenance logs.
- Respond to maintenance calls on the production floor as directed by the lead or supervisor.
- Assist with inventory of parts, tools, and supplies.
- Prior experience in maintenance, general labor, or mechanical work preferred but not required.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Willingness to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
- Must be able to work in dusty, noisy, and warm environments typical of a production facility.
