Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team and drive the successful planning, execution, and completion of complex construction projects. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between project management, site superintendents, sub-contractors, and clients. Your expertise in commercial construction management will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Duties
- Collaborate with project manager and site superintendent to develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Participate in pre-construction phases to access feasibility, identify potential risks, and contribute to the development of project strategies.
- Work closely with project managers and sight superintendents to review and interpret project designs and specifications.
- Ensure that design elements align with project requirements and standards.
- Assist in creation and management of project budgets.
- Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
- Self-Perform Work: The project engineer is expected to consistently self-perform work as a core part of their role. This includes taking ownership of tasks on the jobsite, working alongside crews, and setting standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
- Prepare and distribute project meeting agenda's and minutes as requested by the project manager and site superintendent.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in construction management is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven experience in construction management, project engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency with construction software programs such as Revit or Bluebeam for document review.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and project management principles to effectively coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
